What are my options  too transfer heat from my  wood chip pile too xxxx
  Would copper  be my best option?   What other choices do i have

How do you keep your chickens from not flying out of the garden.  My Garden fence is about 4 feet high.  
But I like the idea of a deep litter, I think this is something that i can easily do inside their run

I am making my cold frames.  
what  is the best  adhesive  to use to attach  greenhouse plastic  too  the wooden lid?

My wife thinks I have to much ventlation and it wont protect the chickens during the winter (We are in Milwaukee, Wisconsin),  
She  reads her her forums that they need protection from the wind.  That  she thinks in a heavy winter storm,  that it wont protect them.

P.S  The Coop is not finished yet.

I have a bunch of pallet wood.   I want too cut the wood  Verticly.   The pallet Wood is about 2-3 inches thick.
What  would I need to do this.   Can I use a jigsaw,  or do I need something else like a Table Saw.   Since I'm not doing this on a regular basis at this time
I want too keep my budget on the lower end. (Under $100.00)

I would say  the first  is  telling  the difference in the early stages of a plant that grew from a seed that I planted vs a Plant that grew from a seed that i did not plant.
Second would be protecting the plants from all my 4 legged friends.  

For me a wheelbarrow is very much needed.  It is how I move my compost  and woodchips  

I have that exact same shovel.   It really has made a big difference when it comes too digging holes

How do you handle this at your house?

My wife and I have different view points on the homesteading life.  
So it leads to alot of conflict.  She believes that it is something to do when you retire and you lots of free time.
So were not really handling it too well.  

For thos with larger families  say  5 plus kids.
What Chores do you and your spouse do, and how much time do you spend at each chore?
