Now that's a cool, but not very user friendly, alarm clock.
But as we are on birds Paul, what's your opinion of Emu? Do you think they could be used, here in the states, in a
Permaculture set up? Just wondering. I've had some
experience with them. Liked the birds, did not like the greedy, money before everything else guy who got me into them. Not a fun story to remember. The only good thing that came of it was those nasty, dirty, smelly, so ugly they cute birds. Don't have any now but wouldn't mind having a breeding pair IF I had the proper fencing for them. Their meat is tasty. The oil from their fat would feel so good on my achy joints. I could
sell the feathers and the hide. . . but I digress. Especially as I don't have and can't afford the 8 to 9 foot
fence I'd need all around my place to keep them in! In case you wonder, the meat is red and tastes more like
beef than
chicken. Good marketing would be : EMU the other RED MEAT!
As for the cranes. Thank goodness they aren't Whooping Cranes! I've heard they are even louder!
