we have been casually looking for deer on and near our property since we moved in but until now haven't actaully seen any since the first time we ran the tractor through. a few days ago our dog alerted us to a buck and doe across the street (pic) and this morning I purposely sat and watched for deer from the house since one of my does (goat) was staring strangely towards the back. sure enough we saw several! they were bounding and playing and it looked as though a buck was hounding several does. yeah!!! my poor dh has not yet had an opportunity to hunt deer on anything but public land which was a pretty dismal and scary experience. apparently on the public lands it was like being in the middle of a firing range as soon as the sun came up  now he will finally have a chance to really hunt and have a chance at bagging a deer safely.
