I picked up a hand crank apple peeler a few years back when I had a couple hundred pounds of apples to deal with. Peels, cores, slices just by turning the handle.
Turns out the handle could be removed. This end of the shaft was secured to a cordless drill...
Peelings were hitting the ceiling.

Reminds me of Abe Coley and Rory telling us about an old washing machine they repurposed to smash apples prior to pressing for cider. Though I'm not remembering exactly how that worked except for Rory's comment to keep young children far away from it because it would occasionally spit apple chunks out with a measure of force.
