I was given this plant by a landscaper friend who had removed it from a garden. The owner said it was "a kind of lovage".
It comes up very early in the spring, quite tasty in a kind of celery/parsley way in the spring.
Grows to about 4 feet, usually very dark green but it's feeling the drought.
Anyone?
Thanks

To me it looks a bit like a coreopsis, which is a common garden ornamental. But it doesn't look exactly like coreopsis that I know, so I could be wrong. Anyway, try googling coreopsis and see if you think that's the ID, and if it is, then google around to see if it's considered edible.

A great resource for edible plant info is www.eattheweeds.com.
