I swear I tried to search, but I am new here. So may have missed it with my inadequate searching skills.
I have a giant block of "high fire" clay sitting around from when my wife was trying to get into ceramics. Still "soft" if you know what I mean. Any reason I can't "thin" it down with a lot of
water and then mix with something insulating in order to create my
rocket stove? Is there any reason this would not work the same way as if I started with powder or other commercial fire brick or fire clay products? I assume if the temps got high
enough it would simply fire itself and be great?
