Middle Georgia here, it was 76 yesterday. Warm and stormy today and tonight. Then forecasted back to normal for the end of the week: low 30s at night, afternoon highs mid 50s. I notice we often get a warm spell in early Spring, and people get the gardening bug. Then we get one last cold snap and most plants freeze. I've learned to wait until April 1 to plant anything.

I haven't seen pollinators out yet!

no kidding. I just saw photos of snow in Las Vegas today. Meantime, it was 55F yesterday here (it's supposed to be 95 and high summer). Instead of icy drinks and chilly watermelon to cool off, I'm making soup. Again. If this is summer, I can't wait to see what this winter will be like.....

i reckon i’m probably due east from you, bruce, just on the other side of the big ridge, and the weather’s been in the 60’s today here, too. i’ve been in the area since 2006, and i feel like most years, there’s at least a couple days in january where it seems like frisbee weather. and then, of course, my forecast is for 21F by friday morning, so...it probably all evens out.
