Somehow I thought somebody told me that there is a website where you go and feed in a URL and it spits out hundreds of banners.

I thought I would go to this web site, and feed in each of my articles and gobs of banners would pour out. Then, for each article I would have this pile of banners that could be used.

Further, this forum software has banner rotation stuff built in. I could put in banners to my articles.

But when I go googling for this banner stuff, I get nothing.

Anybody have any ideas?

I want to end up with banners.

I'm hoping that the web site actually exists, but I'm getting the impression now that it does not.

In which case, yes, getting a lot of banners for this stuff would be great.

Tom, were these banners auto-generated or did you make them?

I made them with IrFanView software, taking screenshots and laying out the images, cropping to size.
Many automatic functions exist, like keyboard shortcuts and precise pixel selection,
that made the job faster as I went on, dimensions roughly preserved on my WindowSeven desktop.

"Computers" used to be a word for women who did the work.

Arguably similar effort to using Gimp or PhotoShop,
I work this less involved way for a reason.
(content - display - capture),
design to coordinate P2P,
text before Art fancy
under development.

It would be great to write code for IrFanView that would facilitate this, eventually,
bridging the gap between publication process and operating system.

Beware, Paul: it is like a media empire from the future I am describing,
and very much distinct upon the common basis of permaculture,
tending-to union with this !action of BannerAd^.

My purpose here, independently, is self-reduction
of software infrastructure towards a hardware ideal,
as focused with actual content of permies.com,
not the coding site.

Tom,

That's a cool way to go about it. Can you attach them one at a time here so that folks can see them?

Here is one I grabbed from an upcoming overhaul to the permies homepage. I just did a screen copy, clipped it out and then shrunk it a little to be more banner sized.

Awesome that is definitely a good way to promote your articles!
