Was wondering if any one has had any experience with a compost toilet built to be used at a rest stop . Was wondering if there are options out there for this application?

Thanks

Do you mean a compost toilet to be used by travelers?

I have no experience with public compost toilets, but in my opinion it would be a huge disaster.

John Q Public has very little respect for things that don't belong to him, and little for other people, especially if nobody is watching him. Plus, not very many people are familiar with compost toilets. When they hit that rest stop to go to the can, they aren't going to take time to read the instructions; they're probably living on borrowed time as far as unloading, if you know what I mean.

Noble idea, if people would be respectful though.

I've seen compost toilets at national parks or state parks in the US. I can't remember any site names to tell but there must be lots of them. They tended to have very large chambers built in under the floors. For the user, it looked like a conventional public bathroom except that the seat was on top of a cylinder or cone shape instead of a more curvy toilet.

The public toilets I have seen of this nature have no composting to them.  The waste is held in a huge chamber and is removed on a regular schedule.
