Hi all,

I bit the bullet and started posting in both the woodstoves and alternate energy areas recently, after "lurking" for a while.

Suppose I should introduce myself...

I am a self employed designer/carpenter in the heart of the "rust belt", trying to teach people how to "fend for themselves" to the extent possible in the areas of food, energy and transportation.

I guess I see civilization in need of a major injection of perma-culture, as a "technologist".

My interests are in sharing appropriate/sustainable technology, especially those useful in my urban seting - we can't all move out to "hobby farms".

Some site suggestions - best work by others -
