I made another
video attempting to capture the vibes of this 7 year old forest garden in the Adirondack Mountains, NY. No commentary, just the scenery and sounds as best as I could capture them. The idea is to document this unique site while it is rapidly evolving into a much more productive system. Hope you enjoy!
The forest garden is looking really good this year. A lot of the
trees we planted are beginning to produce fruits for the first time. Part of this area was originally a pasture, and it is really starting to feel more like a dense and diverse “old field”, on its way to being a forest. Other areas were forest and are now more open woodlands, with a mix of early and mid succession species. We’re trying to integrate our productive species with the
native ecosystem, and create a novel ecosystem and hotspot of biodiversity. Suggestions are welcome, and if there’s anything you want to see in greater detail just let me know!
