My big momma had an astounding 13 babies yesterday, and her neighbor and fellow momma had 7 babies this morning. We are over the moon!

I'm considering giving some of the 13 babies to the mom with 7, but I'm going to see how it goes for a few days first. She may be able to handle it.

Congrats on the successful births!

I do have to say, there is a baby bunny picture tax that should be paid if you are going to bring them up. Everyone loves little bun-buns.

Thanks Timothy! I'll get my spouse to take a picture then they get home and I'll post it. I don't have a camera handy without them

What great news! It’s going to be such a joy watching them grow. Do you have more does expecting? Are you breeding for meat, show or pets?
I’m excited to see the photos, spring is here!

No more does expecting now, we do two at a time so everyone has a friend with similar aged kits. Makes it so you have a helper momma if something goes wrong and you have orphans or need to equalize litters.

We breed for meat, but also enter them in the county fair each year. We sell breeding stock to people who do show with ARBA. Most of our enjoyment is in the meat, most of the money is in the breeding stock.

This is our big litter of 13 babies, from A2. We call them the "AP litter"

Note: Permies' Picture Tax Agent is very busy these days. I guess 'tis the season, being April and all...

Well, thanks for paying the tax!
