New to the Permies.com community here.

Before I found this section, I posted in the forum with some details about what I'm working on and what I'm interested in:

"Looking for an Ecovillage"

I'm in Maryland and wrote about my story here.

This is not necessarily a quest for romance or a life partner as much as it is for a collaborator or partner "in crime." Those things, as I have seen, tend to happen naturally without my effort; and it's best that way.

I have considered relocating to The Farm in Summerville, TN where they have apprenticeships that teach about many different aspects of forming an ecovillage, homesteading, permaculture, farming, and natural building. It would be challenging getting there because I don't have a car--at this point, it's a conscious and intentional choice.

That's why I'm also looking to construct a bicycle trailer/sleeper so that I can be flexible in my living space and where/when I want to move about. The people in TN replied to me when I inquired and said that I would be welcome to go visit. They offer work exchange and the process of becoming a member will take some time, including the time of visiting.

There are other ideas in my mind. I'm talking to other people who seem to mostly have new or unformed ecovillages. I'm open to hearing what you have considered and are interested in.

- Sandra
