Impatient for spring, dang it! We have crocus and Japanese rock iris blooming, but so far that is pretty much it. Put the cold frames out last weekend, pulled the leaf mulch off the soil under them today. Hopefully now the soil will actually start to warm up, without the insulating mulch in the way. Pushed the mulch back against he edges to reduce air flow, too. Perhaps next weekend I can start putting in some of the cool weather seeds.

So ready to begin growing things again!
