So I found a good source of naturally raised grains/legumes for my pig
feed this year and after talking with the lady who brought the feed (and seeing pictures of her pigs) I've decided to try her method out.
It's basically as simple as mixing up the feed in a large
enough container and covering the feed with a couple of inches of
water. She uses a trough, I used a plastic 55 gallon drum with the top cut off. Every time you scoop feed out you give the feed a good stirring to keep the brew aerobic. I guess you can keep adding feed and water to the container as you use up what's already fermenting and turn it into a continuous process instead of a batch brew.
I've attached some photos and I'll embed a
video of the breaker bubbling away less than one day after starting it.
