Are you asking because of planting a nitrogen fixing plant among a walnut tree? if so, the juglone should stunt to some degree the development of the root and stem system of the nearby plants, nonetheless, i have seen many feasible combinations between a walnut family tree and a nitrogen fixing one. The results by applying human syntethized Juglone should provide similar results, of course, depending on the concentrations used.

It has been registered that Juglone might improve the germination ratio of some conifer species.

For this specific matter i would suggest trial and error thru documented observation.
