I'm planning on growing barley for beer as well. My plan is to build a trellis on which to grow hops, and grow different varieties of barley and specialty grain all around it.
Maybe a silly question, but I have pounds of this stuff that has been sitting around forever, and would like to do something useful with it. Can I compost it? Thanks!
