Not sure if this is the right place for this, please let me know if it 's in the wrong forum thread.
I live in southwestern Missouri and have been pestered with this problem for about 5 years and it seems to get worse each year.
Robins which I've always liked for their beauty and industry(they seem very busy building nests and raising their young),BUT! they seem to delight in bombing the sides of our house, cars.lawn furniture and sidewalks as well as the drive way. They also build nests in most every bush, tree, downspout and horizontal area available to them.
Two years ago they managed to stripe the asphalt driveway beside our house with the stripes parallel about 8 inches apart(maybe 6 or 8 stripes)precision bombing maybe even in formation. It was amusing for a while but now I'm tired of cleaning up after them and would like to know what if anything can be done to solve this (short of gunning them down).
Interestingly the neighbors don't seem to have this problem, at least not to the extent we have.
Any and all help is appreciated.....
