Hi guys, thanks for the replies, I can pick up a few freebie (damaged or chipped) ceramic tiles from one of my outlets, I thought about fire cement/high temp sealant for between the joints, built around a knock-down former. I've yet to build even a small basic RS, but my mind and thoughts are on the run to get started. my main objective is to heat water, I have a cunning plan. Like a lot of people, 99 % of how all this is gonna work this lives in my head, so, I will read more and start some sot of build soon. I could use some bricks that I have laying around, but I have a healthy fear of explosions. Thanks again, Billy Graham.
