Helloo all you beautiful people
I've been checking out your site for a while now so its nice to finally join!
My name is Erica. I'm Irish by birth but left a long time now so, I suppose I'm a fair wanderer by nature. I've been wandering around South East Asia & India for the past few years (a mix of volunteering, living on farms, and in towns) but now its time to head back to Europe and get some land and begin to get settled on it.
Hmmm how to do this though?...
Although I'm still up the mountains in north India, so as a starting point; I'm looking to see what PDC is going on where when I get back. Prob around Sept/Oct (ish). I already have the Intro Practical Permaculture Cert to start with so it should be grand.
So this is where I need some advice............I'm also keen to get back into education for many different reasons and would like to study a Bachelor Degree that is useful that gives me practical skills for homesteading. I've been spending a lot of time and effort (driving myself crazy) trying to find one that fits. I seem to be only finding "regular Agriculture" or theory based sustainability (am already studying online EcoBuilding so I know only theory based doesn't work). As well as that, my limitations are (i) Need a course taught in English (ii) need a low tuition or Free tuition course (iii) less sciency/mathematics. Am willing to travel and relocate to study.
How can I build up to a degree similar to a permaculture-style degree? or is it possible to study the Applied Permaculture Diploma and then jump into an agriculture style degree? or is there an actual permaculture style degree that I am overlooking? Has anyone done this or know how I can?
Please help - any advice would be great !!
Thanks a million
Erica
