a life time of gardening, though not with the greatest success!  but no real farming.  I'm a permies Veteran farmer wannabe, doing the homework to figure things out for when the time comes.  I might be of more help with putting together the proposal for the LeBron James project-- though I've not done a lot with successful proposals, I have some experience in trying, and decades of what might be in permies language called "community cultivation."  I'm also better on the email than on the forums- jlewis21@kent.edu

Related question-- I'm HOPING to get an abandoned farm very soon from a national park (CVNP, NE OH). It has not been farmed in at least five years, parts overgrown with grasses, parts with brambles/multifloral roses, parts with hardwood saplings. What advice can I (a farming/permie newbie) get for how to transition from abandoned farm to productive permie growies and chickens?
