I'll check into that. They aren't chanterelles after further research they don't have false gills but they aren't the poisonous version either. So . . . Next researching the ringless  honey mushroom.

Hello everyone. What might these be? I was thinking Chanterelles but it's my first hunt and want to be sure. They are not at the base of a hard wood but about 30 - 50 feet away from some large ones. This is almost on the stump of a dead yew. Very rubbery gills. They do not break off when rubbed. Found in a large round cluster.
