I would like to build a RMH under a wooden staircase. Can I encase the barrel inside the masonry under a staircase? It appears in every photo/video example all of the stoves I have seen have exposed barrels. And my situation, could I enclose the barrel in the masonry such as is found in a traditional fireplace? Would enclosing the barrel cause the rocket mass stove to not work properly? That location seems to be ideal to allow the heat to rise from the lowest level to the second and third levels of the home.
