Yurts are cool. This design looks simple and ideal for our sheep or chickens, as we expand the flocks.
 
Equally good for guests staying a small time, and keeping their plans on track... a small time : )

Fun stories... When in suburbia, I asked a couple of different farmers if they wanted help, for a little product, in exchange, with the expressed intention of learning something.  They each took me up on it, we all got what we wanted, and it was great getting to know them.  Most farmers can use a hand with SOMETHING.  And you see how different setups work.  Both these farmers had CSA's - Third Way, and Rousedale Farm.  So the farmers were quite approachable.

Wonderful forum. With bees and chickens and now sheep, along with lumber and cob work on a greenhouse, "it's good to learn from your mistakes, and better to learn from others'"

Successes and failures all add to growth.

Thanks for the thread. I noticed the stilt weed after exhausting or current supply of pine needles for bedding. Chickens seem to like it. Keeps the smell down.
