Michael,
Can't tell if you are already living in Ky and looking and you are somewhat aware of what you are going to encounter there. Or you are somewhere else and just wildly fishing for wild land to explore with little idea of what to expect. I can give you more awareness of what to expect, both positive and negative, if you are in the second category. But for now I'll give you an initial very good lead for seriously remote/semi-wilderness, which seems to be what you may possibly be searching for:

Whitetail Properties Real Estate
Whitetailproperties.com

Greg Meade, east central Ky land specialist re hunting/ranch/farm/timber properties

ie  Depending on your desire details you may have to be conversant in topographical map reading and symbols, have very good tread on your hiking boots to handle a ton of near-vertical slopes and a near continuous limestone cliffline, learn to id copperheads at 10' distance, and surrender totally all hope of bringing  another gender to these parts for even a THOUGHT of a 1 second visit, much less a forever homestead with stunted veggies. Does the scenery and the 2-legged wildlife of the movie DELIVERANCE interest you? Or are you decidedly more tame in your projections?
