I often used stainless steel ones outside.
Thank you John. And did you find the mesh screen to be effective for mitigating winds to some degree?
I just bought a piece of property and I have prevailing winds from the Southwest. I am looking for affordable ways to create a windbreak in the Southwest corner of my property. I have a chain-link fence that goes all the way around my property and I was considering purchasing a cloth screen to use as a windbreak on the fence (like the image attached). Does anyone have any experience with this type of windbreak cloth? Any ideas other than bamboo and a fedge for windbreak? I don't have the option of terraforming.
I am interested in growing citrus in Florida; particularly lemons, limes, and tangerines. Any advice on how to grow citrus effectively without the succumbing to the myriad of diseases? Choosing a specific variety/rootstock? Planting under citrus? Companion planting? Nutritional deficiencies? Any advice on how to grow these citrus in Florida effectively?
