Sophia I am doing
hugelkultur in pots, in a flat container 80cm x 40cm x 20cm deep, with a log of wood and branches. It creates beautiful growth. but I had to move it outdoors because indoors the mold was growing over the soil surface and also created many mosquitos, because of the organic matter decomposing.
Maybe indoors you can do hugelkultur in a small pot, to not attract so much mold or mosquitos. But plant-wise it works very good.
Our projects:
in Portugal, sheltered terraces facing eastwards, high water table, uphill original forest of pines, oaks and chestnuts. 2000m2
in Iceland: converted flat lawn, compacted poor soil, cold, windy, humid climate, cold, short summer. 50m2
