I now own acreage in the Sierra and have been very active trying to find my tribe to get an ecoVillage started. There's quite a lot of things on co-housing around which is not my thing. Next weekend, there's a get together east of Redding for an aspiring 'Shire' ecovillage which I will be attending. Just throwing this out there - I would be very interested in meeting people who want to start an ecoVillage and have the persistence, some basic skills and focus on permaculture ++.
Hello Fred, I am interested in starting or joining an intentional community and I currently reside in the Placerville area. I was communicating with someone just today about finding someone with land in the region. I stumbled across this thread and, of course, you. What is your status currently on building your ecovillage? And what is it that turns you off about co-housing, as well? I realize this post is 3+ yrs old, but hopefully you get this message and we can communicate further.
