This year I was hoping to visit a few communities but haven't been able to because of Covid. I am in the US Midwest, I am contemplating a move to Europe (especially if the election goes badly). I happen to work for a French company, so I might be able to manage a transfer to France. That is where I am interested. But might also consider other places, if I can find a way to immigrate amid all of the travel restrictions and various immigration rules of different EU countries. Are you still thinking of setting up a community? Have you started one? Tim |

Hello Emma, I also was involved in a few land-based projects in the UK, but finally moved to rural Bulgaria where I found lifestyle I was looking for. This is not an intentional community, but an old village where people live in the old ways and often do things together. It is very international too, there are people from UK, Iceland, Netherlands, South Africa, Russia, Romania, Estonia sharing this land-based lifestyle. Please let me know if you would like to know more.

I'm 38, no children (don't want any of my own but fine if you already do) I'm looking to join or contribute to setting up a permaculture project/eco village (Europe). I've volunteered on conservation, forest garden and permaculture projects for the last 5 years (UK, Norway and Portugal) and I have my own small vegetable garden. I've recently done an intro to permaculture and clothes making course and am about to volunteer with a social enterprise to get some basic carpentry skills. I want to live more sustainably and this is a priority for me now. I live in London (UK) at the moment and I'm very ready to leave and enjoy a different (and more simple) lifestyle! I am looking at various locations in Europe but the location is less important to me than shared values. My career background is in communications and web development.
