Post     Subject: Perform some sort of labor over the internet and get paid - PEP BB commerce.sand.internet

I do writing related work on Upwork (editing, plotting, ghostwriting, now grantwriting).

Submitted the same for this Straw Commerce BB as well, but it's more than $550, so I think I'm good for both, yes?

When PEP was first developed I thought getting the commerce badges would be just a dream.
Funny enough, I now have been engaging in making money by providing online services for a year now and it wasn't until I saw this badge bit that I realized one of my dreams has come true!

I'm a math tutor mostly for homeschool students. I have a couple of students who live halfway across the country from me, so we meet on video calls.

This is an image of me with my white board where I write during the lessons. This mathematical gibberish was problems I wanted the student to work on as homework until our next lesson.

And of course, payment via paypal.

Hey PEP-folks,
Tutoring over the internet makes money. In-person tutoring makes more, as there is usually both a quality boost and less international competition, but I have done quite a bit of online tutoring, too. Wyzant has been my go-to, and this was way more attractive when I had more time, fewer kids, and less job, but I think it still counts, as it could absolutely be turned on again if needed (account still exists, but is set invisible). I'm an engineer, so there is typically demand. As with all platform-based web services, the platform takes a healthy cut... but that's the price of doing business, I guess.

1) Attachment 1 - lots of tutoring income (from 2019 and prior, true)
2) Attachment 2 - Lesson with 0 mileage (online) for part of the $50 requirement.
3) Attachment 3 - Another lesson with 0 mileage for the rest of the $50 requirement.

Happy homesteading,
Mark

If the whole job is done from a distance, I think it's what this BB is after.  If you're meeting with them about it, it's probably a better fit for the "Do permaculture labor" BB.

We met, I designed the landscape, she paid by check then, we installed the landscape.   I'll add it to the other BB.  Thank you for your time!

Would creating a Landscape Design using software for a client work under this BB?  If not, where would it fit?

Thanks in advance for your time/info!

Some years ago, I realized that I wanted to go live in a remote place, thus I needed to be able to work remotely as well. I successfully reschooled myself, got a degree in translation, moved to a remote place, started up my own translation business called TransPardinus (from the beautiful Iberian lynx), and now I work as a freelance translator. The linguistical services I offer are all done from my home office, somewhere hidden in Spain between olive farms.

I did a translation for a Belgian client for the amount of 88,34 euros, that I would like to use to get certified for this BB.

A short description of the pictures:

- picture 1 - email: (in Dutch) in which the client sent me the source text on the 27th of March and asked me to have it translated by Wednesday. The email shows that I sent the translation to the client on (Wednesday) the 29th of March.

- picture 2 - invoice: which is the invoice I sent to the client in Belgium for that translation (with the concept for the bank transaction). The invoice is in English because it was a commercial transaction from one EU-country to another EU-country (thus the invoice left Spain, and then English becomes a logical/accepted choice for business communications).

- picture 3 - payment: which shows that the client paid the invoice, and I received the money on my Spanish bank account.

I don't think it's a fit.  Work over the internet, to me, implies that you do the work primarily on a computer remotely.  So arranging a job with the internet and going out to perform it doesn't seem like it's fully "over the internet".  If it was a bit more permaculturally oriented, it would fit the "labor off site" BB...

I am curious if doing jobs for uship.com would qualify for this BB.  I was travelling to Wheaton Labs bootcamp and decided to make some money while on the way, so I signed up on uship.com as a carrier and entered my route to Wheaton Labs as a saved search and then over the course of a week or two monitored hits on the search and selected two loads to transport on the way to bootcamp and two loads to transport on my way back, and UShip paid me.  Is that considered "performing some sort of labor over the internet and get paid"?

I am the operations manager for a Crypto/NFT project. We are all in different areas of the country. We work through Discord, Google meet, Google drive, and occasionally phone or Telegram plus other online services.

In this transaction
https://polygonscan.com/tx/0x258b0dbc835af6f50bd565c737599b8a5d37bf29a79eb7a515b944a3dba1fba6

the governance wallet (0x296ED0f5FF9E1440b2a7dd01Ba86B11517365375) Listed in the project founder's guide (whitepaper) on page 12 https://docs.google.com/document/d/1q2tD6ukfdnKVJyWKEnkDWFCD190Ja16_u6gYja_Yhlo/edit#heading=h.nv6lzsjznsv

Sends my wallet (0x82101fF84Ac719749fec8C9498100E67e033f145 - as shown in the screenshot) 1,296,000 Unity

Which, when sent is worth ~.00006 per based on the token chart at https://dexscreener.com/polygon/0x509645caa3d644ad1d5b8a6093f968013d16b823

So 1296000*.00006= 77.76 USD

Response to asking for further proof:
The only way to get Unity is to buy it on secondary or earn it from the project. All payments from project wallets are earned, since Cityroots is a US corporation trying ridiculously hard to be in legal compliance with not selling unlicensed investments. If we sold tokens that people expected to appreciate, that would not meet the Howie test.

https://unity.cityroots.io/ -"How can I get Unity?
The only way to get it is to earn it through bounties from Cityroots DAO. To get access to bounties, you must become a verified citizen of Cityroots DAO. Join our discord to find out more!"

You can see in the transaction that the payout came from the project and was not a purchase. I don't know what other proof you'd need. The blockchain is transparent for a reason. I've proven I own the wallet discussed in the transaction with the screenshot. I can add another screenshot if you prefer rather than you looking at the links if that's what necessary? Someone who has some EVM chain crypto knowledge is going to have to confirm this one ;)
