Summary

We do not grow all of the plants we sell on this website. We purchase many Dormant Bare Root Plants from commercial wholesale growers throughout the country, which allows us to offer a wider variety of plants. We sell our native (wild) fruiting plants as unsexed ornamentals, as a result we cannot guarantee that you will receive both male and female plants, which are needed for pollination and to produce fruit. This is pretty much the same thing your local retail nursery does, however they will pot the bare root plants and grow them for another season and sell them in a non-dormant state.

I give this nursery 7 out of 10 acorns.

I have ordered two separate orders from Northern Ridge Nursery through their Etsy store. I have purchased some bush cherries and a red oak from them. I received my bare-root plants quickly and in good health. I was impressed with the product I received with 100% survival. I do not find their website to be easy to navigate and it leaves a lot to be desired. I was unsure how legit the site was until I conducted my purchase but the reviews seemed to be legitimate. They source most of their plants from different commercial nurseries around the entire US. In the end, the plants were healthy and the shipping was prompt so it was a positive experience.

I would utilize this nursery again.
