A great publication called "Odd Bits: How to Cook the Rest of the Animal" by jennifer McLagan. Helpful resource as well as other titles from this authour. Enjoy.

i've been experimenting with a home remedy tincture of plantain major (combinded equal parts broad and narrow) in 99% alc with pretty good success. Both topical for accute skin inflamations and dosing daily mixed with water or juice for moderate relief of hay fever symptoms. Must admit I'm quite pleased with results.

wow first off CONGRATULATIONS! Have you considered the options of preserving it? (lacto-ferm / brine?) I mean for your own and mom's consumption at some point. Im wondering something similar. Bokashi would probably work best for the rapid decaying and return to earth, but you got me thinking how to put it to nutritional use. where else can you find such a rich source DHEA and stem cells? what if the child requires it later in life? (not meant jack your thread). best to you and yours!

Golly g, i was so excited when hearing about it i somehow registered twice(2x)! Initially i was worried that there would be issues getting reimbursed for my happy-clicking; but alas, faith was restored as geoff and his team made things right. So, i'm 100% sold on the integrity side of things. I'm eager to get started on it durring our (first) busiest time of year. Koodos to geoff lawton and the rest of the to be lawton clones! Cheers permies.
you could saponify olive oil with mint /mint oil added. in a hardened form just use a cheese-grater to get shard sized flakes. then when you feel the need - bite down on 1or2 toothsoap flakes and brush. the best part is you get to broaden the flavour selection with experimentation!

Hi, perhaps check arduino hot wire anemometer for a hand held unit. Similar microcontrollers for fixed position.

The wonderscape. What we've done alternatively to canned (dont mean to hijack this thread)... Firstly juice them scapes with a good quality juicer. We use the green garlic juice for everything from a special marinade for what we call "shreked chicken", to adding to our homemade bugspray potion (works pretty good for mosquitos). Then from there you're left with the pulp. I dehydrated this and once dry I pulverized it in blender to make garlic scape powder. It's now a nice spice addition we can eat all year! Just an idea. Best to you's.
