Hi Mercy,

If you would like to talk further about what your expectation and ideal situation may be. We can discuss if that is something that our farm can provide for you. You can email us at paez.katrina@yahoo.com.

Thank you.

Well we aren't in NE FL, but not too far off I guess. We live in NW FL Pensacola and have a small 6 acre farm we have been working on for 2 years. We are looking for help on this farm and have a post with more information if you are interested. It is titled NW FL 6 crew Farm Milton. Check it out. I wish you the best and hope you find your right situation.

Hello,

We have a 6 acre farm we do not currently live on. We currently drive to the farm each afternoon to do chores etc. which takes us about an hour each day on average. We are looking for an ongoing caretaker that would live on the property rent free in exchange for farm help/chores/building up of farm etc.

We currently have a few buildings up, a 20x10 chicken house (20-25 chickens), 8x8 rabbit house (1 male, 6 females), 2 sheep, 3 geese. There is a 24x24 pole barn which is up and just needs the metal roofing put on. A partially built 20x10 greenhouse and a tool shed. The farm does have well water and electricity.

We have a small orchard with several fruit trees growing, pecan, chestnut, pear, apple, mulberry, citrus, fig, blueberry, blackberry, plum and a few theories. The whole orchard is set with drip irrigation. We have also built several swale berms which we have planted with corn squash and beans.

We have a small mahindra tractor which helps tremendously with some of the heavier lifting. Farm is within short distance of several shops in Milton as well as Pace FL and a short car ride from Pensacola FL. There would be no pay associated with this so you might have to get some sort of part time work to supplement your income etc. You could either camp on the property, build a small shelter or a camper under the barn, again rent/cost free. The local famers market could be a source of income for what the farm produces, maybe a small CSA.

The ideal person would be honest, dependable, responsible and hard working as I am. You would be caretaker and we can build the farm up together to be a proper demonstration of permaculture principle and responsible land stewardship.

If you are interested please reach me here.

I hope to hear from you and good luck to all!
