While this may be caused by something external, skin issues are often a sign of something going on internally as well. I see that others have suggested allergies, which is a good start. But has her doctor done any blood tests to see if she is suffering from any kind of deficiency or toxicity? Have they done any skin samples to see if it could be bacterial? A dermatologist is likely to do the latter but not the former.
Without knowing her medical history, here are some other suggestions she could try:
- get started on a quality multivitamin and mineral supplement
- take a collagen supplement, or SMS, both of which are necessary for cell regeneration
- there are other essential oils that work well for bacterial and fungal infection. Try using a blend like Thieves (Young Living) or make up your own using Cinnamon Bark, Clove, Eucalyptus, Rosemary and Lemon essential oils in a carrier like liquid coconut oil, which is also antibacterial. Oregano and Thyme are also effective.
- what is her gut health like? Many skin symptoms can be faced back to poor gut health. Try removing sugar, wheat, dairy and processed foods from her diet so her gut can rest and rebuild good bacteria. Take a probiotic as well.
I hope these help!
