Avalanche Ranch is breaking the mold at the end of the road in Homer, Alaska. We are looking for volunteers to work with us on our organic high tunnel heirloom tomato, pepper and cucumber farm plus a cut flower market! and our raised bed full of championship mondo veggies. We are battling a bunny outbreak-all part of the cycle-but it is challenging. Lots of wolves tho...We offer room and board and both are fun! A original 1938 homestead log cabin and all the salmon you can eat! Plus the veggies. We are interested in creating food security, finding a way to grow sumptuous salsa and getting slugs drunk.
