Comfy pigs

After a year's delay due to poor health and other jobs we are finally putting in the floor of the pig pen. We are using a waterproof base topped with sand and wine bottles for insulation. They will have a rebar reinforcing net over the top with several inches of concrete. The outside area will be used to train the piglets to hot wire before putting out to pasture. Then the meat chickens will go in this space and then follow the pigs around their pasture. The wine bottle method is a very old method that just give the pigs a little extra comfort from cold winter floors.
