We are recruiting instructors for the Open Source Microfactory STEAM Camp here. We build open source technology - including tractors, 3D printers, aquaponic greenhouses, etc. Part of the goal is to develop a sustainable pipeline for open source product developement that leverages immersion training and incentive challenges to move open product development forward in a significant way.
The Open Source Ecology experiment was formulated in 2003. The practical experiment began on a 5 acre parcel on the outskirts of Madison, Wisconsin, USA. Networking with early collaborators, the project found its new home on a 20 acre parcel in Osborn, Missouri. In 2006, the project moved to its permanent location in Maysville, Missouri – to Factor e Farm – birthplace of the Global Village Construction Set.
Our home base is Missouri- but for the STEAM Camps - Everywhere! We are looking for instructors to run workshops in their city or nearest city, so that this spreads across the world to make open source production a reality. Our big vision is to transition the economic paradigm from proprietary to collaborative.
What sort of contribution and credentials are you looking for from instructors? What are you looking for us to bring to it?

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.
