Finally got my piece of land in mena, ark. Will be flying into ft.smith in the next few days. Anyone in this area?
Advice on how to get to mena from Ft. Smith? I'm so excited, it's small and I'll have so many things to figure out from utilities to surviving my first winter...lol

Bernetta, congratulations! I'm not familiar with that area, but hopefully someone will be. Exciting times ahead! Do keep us posted.

Has the land been burnt? There seems a lot of dead trunks.
How big and what are your plans.

Congratulations, Bernetta! You must be so excited! I love moving into a new home and slowly getting the feel of the land and the structures. Nice job on the shed! I would think about getting rid of the chewed/rotted wood at the bottom of the doors and replacing those parts with some fresh wood, probably also putting a layer of thin metal over them to help protect them. And if you are going to put chickens in there, you wouldn't want a draft, either. Keep us updated on your progress!
