What's wrong with my cucumbers??

So my cucumbers were growing fine and green. Then i poured some dirt on them, a dusty dirt that is high in nitrogen, i figured they would like it, but now they are yellowing and dying. Does anybody now why??? I dont think it is the dirt cause i did the same thing to other plants and they did fine. But i could be wrong. Let me know what you think.

Mine did the same thing this year. I blamed it on too much sun, but really don't know. Are these op? What is planted nearby?

Looks like cucumber mosaic virus. (Plus some slug damage.) But yellowing leaves can be many things, including lack of nutrients or too many, over/under watering, bad weather and soil conditions and so forth. If you poured a lot of dirt on top of the root zone, the plants could be suffocating.

If the other plants in the area are doing well, and the plant doesn't show signs of stem damage at the soil line from slugs, I would suspect CMV and plant a resistant variety next year.

Your cucumber look very similar to what happens to mine this years. I suspect I got some type of mildew likely do to poor air circulation (nears the corner of my fence at the side of the house) but they continued to produce a few more cucumber for the rest of the season. If it is mildew, you will have to rotated your crop somewhere else to avoid it coming back again next season.

Rick they are planted in the shade not next to any plants.

Going to cut off the yellowing leaves and see how it does, if it keeps up ill pull them out and start again.

You have two different kinds of damage there. The leaves that look as though they have worm tracks are caused by leaf miners, a tiny critter that bores between the upper and lower skin of the leaf and eats the inner tissue. The second kind looks like mosaic virus. In both cases the affected leaves should be removed and destroyed by burning away from the plants. Mosaic virus can actually be transmitted in the smoke if the fire isn't hot enough so don't let the smoke drift over any live plants.
BTW both sorts prefer to attack plants that are already weak. It's probably getting too late in the year for heat lloving plants like cucumbers.
