Let's see if I got this apple/PIE thingy right. I write a really great post that will drive up the number of reads, which will in turn, drive up the site traffic, which in turn will drive the rates of the tiny and not so tiny ads.
All to get more PIE, which I do not understand the benefits of having, nor do I want except to give away.
