My new pot is now well seasoned. Cooked soup/navy beans, with some ham hock last night. It was excellent, maybe edging up to outstanding, still not as good as my late mothers, but close, I'm pleased with the results.
Now if I could match or get close to her corn bread!!!
My grandmother used to make a navy bean soup that I'm blessed that my fiancé can make a great rendition of. I think I might even have some hocks in the freezer to make a new batch.
