Hi there. First message.
I've just had the first early start of this season to the
rocket stove, and collected some woodfuel from the stack outside the house. As usual, gathered 2-3 times the amount that fits in the
feed chamber of the J-tube roket, so as to burn 1 lot, while drying the other two.
But, i've seen some sawdust in the woodfuel pile, and it turns that there's some woodworm (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woodworm) infestation in it.
So, when bringing the fuel in the house, also some undesired bugs come inside.
How do yo people manage this? The rrof is made of
wood, treated though.
On the other hand, even the wood in the roof is treated and the bugs may not attack it, the woodfuel stack is being eaten and some of the fuel is turning to sawdust, so there's some room for concern here.
