Has anyone got advice on feeding compost to tiger worms that are then eaten by hens or other poultry?
My query is how this is done without the hens eating all the worms?
Is there a way of limiting the amount of worms and compost turned over by them?
My worm-farm is a multi-tier sort of arrangement (old mail totes stacked up, with holes drilled in the bottom). Periodically I dump one the of the totes into the chook-run- they have a good scratch through and eat all the goodies and worms- but only have one tier of worms to eat and don't get to eat the whole population. Unfortunately a bit labour-intensive in ferrying bits of worm farm around!
