One of my neighbors, down the street, has just this week put a
raised bed vegetable garden in their front
yard. That brings the total number of front yard gardens up to five. The neighborhood now has a butterfly garden, a
native plant landscape, my
polyculture vegetables, a micro orchard and now these raised beds. On top of that, some of the more traditional lawns have fruit or nut
trees included in their landscape. This probably isn't exciting to anyone else, but I like to see the monotonous suburban lawns being replaced with things that are more interesting.
