They off-gas and stink to high heaven. We have used the RFP on the "inside" of exterior sliding shutters where the smell isn't a problem, but have been in farm buildings where the walls are done with RFP (also referred to as milkhouse panels around here) and the vapors sure seem "toxic". Polycarbonate roofing panels don't have that problem, but then you would have the corrugations to work around when installing shelving, a minor inconvenience in my opinion. If you can't get white polycarbonate panels in your area, you can spray paint the back side of clear ones to make them opaque. Don't forget to include ventilation for cooling no matter what you use for the wall surface.
