Hi there! My name is Amy - I am 30 years old and I live in Essex County in Northern New Jersey. I have a vision of my life that includes creating and maintaining a healthy, positive relationship with the love of my life, living in community with others, having a supportive network of positive friends, and raising a family together. I am interested in alternative education models like Montessori, Waldorf, homeschooling, and unschoolling, as well as attachment parenting and permaculture. I am a music teacher and ethnomusicologist. I'm looking for a like-minded soul to join me in the journey - someone who is conscious, spiritual, progressive, reflective, reverent, strives for a healthy lifestyle, appreciates a plant-based diet, and has a huge heart. Clear, heart-centered communication is very important to me and I strive to use non-violent (compassionate) communication. I eat a mostly raw vegan diet. I am drug/alcohol/tobacco-free and am looking for the same in a partner.
I would love to find the love of my life and live sustainably, in community with others. I am hoping that once I find the right partner, we can discuss our own needs and work as a team to figure out where we'd like to live together. I have thought about finding an eco-village in New Jersey or not too far away so that I could spend time regularly with family. I've also thought about finding a warm climate to live where I can get all the lovely, tropical raw produce I need. Also, I've thought of moving to a more progressive town/city in the US - like Asheville, NC; Portland, OR; Northampton/Amherst, MA, etc. It would be great to find a balance when a family comes along - to find a good home/community/town in which to be grounded and spend time traveling as well.
