Hi Community!

We are InLak'ech Village, a eco village in the construction phase on the beautiful pacific coast of Mexico and we are interested in finding additional people/families to be part of the community and project.

-Less than 1 hour drive to 2 international airports
-Good water and soil
-mature fruit trees
-Ocean views
-1 mile to great swimming, surfing, fishing
-1 mile to school, doctor, etc. in the cute towns of Mazunte and San Agustinillo

The nearby towns of Mazunte and San Agustinillo have enough tourism to sustain a small business such as a cafe or restaurant and have job opportunities in existing businesses.

The homesites include sole ownership of the ground the home is on and partial ownership of all the communal land.

Check out our website and feel free to get in touch.

Hi Everyone,

So we just bought 10 acres in Mexico to turn into a permaculture farm, eco village, and retreat centre. There are some existing fruit trees on the land but I have absolutely no idea what care they need or how to successfully plant many more. Can anyone point me to a good resource on fruit orchards in the tropics? Snail mail here is pretty hard so online resources or ebooks would be the best!

We are in Mazunte, Oaxaca, (Zone 11), 1km from the coast and at low elevation (so we don't get the evening dew that happens in the mountains behind us).

Thanks in advance!

Hi Everyone,

Though I've been coming across these forums for many years, this is my first post.

I have just quit my job, taken my suits to the Salvation Army, and am off to Mexico to purchase land and start an Eco Village/IC. Pretty exciting times. I am now putting the call out to other parties who may be interested in co-creating. The more people involved, the more land, and of a higher quality, can be purchased. Please let me know if you're interested. You can follow the project on www.buildthefarm.org

-We are looking on the Pacific Mexican Coast (most likely Oaxaca)
-Lots will be owned by individuals, common land will be owned communally
-We will be close enough to civilisation to be commercially viable as a eco-tourism destination (Permaculture School, Yoga Retreat Centre, Eco-Lodge, etc.)
-Land and building prices in Mexico are incredibly cheap -- $10k gets you a lot, and you can put a small but comfortable house on it for another $10k.

Also, I will be in California and Oregon over the next few months before driving down to Mexico in October. Let me know if you would like to meet up and discuss.

Let the adventure begin,

Ky
