My family planted our woodland on 13 acres of fallow fields in 2014. Since then any visitor can tie a ribbon or hang a sign on any tree. We planted 8000 trees, so we are expecting many more visitors.

Just as designing a new house build for passive solar, you can do the same for wind. Our deck aligns with the prevailing wind in the summer, this keeping the flying insects at bay.

Renogy has a variety of systems sizes. I have used them for my travel trailer and am considering a system for my small cabin. 3 years and no problems.

My wife and I are thankful this year for the completion of our forever home on our 24 acre homestead, which we planted with 7000 hardwood trees in 2014.

I have about 400 American hazelnut bushes that I purchased from Wisconsin DNR 8 years ago and they have been producing for 4 years. Each year I pick more clusters and these are drying now before I dehusk and sell to the American Hazelnut Company in La Crosse, WI.

I had read on permies some years ago that rmhs can't hear large spaces, so that creates a large audience who would not benefit. When you talk about using scrap wood, there just is not enough energy for complete households.

Are there automatic feeders to keep the heat going? I looked into RMH, but settled for a heat pump using solar + storage.

All these diagrams and suggestions for an "awesome shower" seem like overkill and not very permies oriented. When I want an awesome shower, especially after a good work day outside, I fill my shower bag early in the day, lay it out on a dark surface and let it heat up. Many times it will be so hot that I have to add a little cold water to temper it. I then hang up the shower bag and let the water run. This is an "awesome shower". Air drying in a cool breeze reinvigorates my soul and prepares me for a relaxing evening.
