It is very rarely that they have fog there and when they do it only happens. One good thing to do would be to insulate the exit flue for this, but as I said I am not the owner there I just helped to buil it and the owner , she is content with how it works. But yeah I know what you mean if it was for me I would go for insulating the chimney. The down part of it is like a cone and is where the creosote liquid is coming out.
