Currently, I work for a production company called Original Media and am developing a docu series show that will capture the life of homesteading from the first leap. Think Discovery, Netflix, or Amazon.

I am looking for people who have recently decided to move off the grid and plan to build their homesteads from building materials (wood, stone, etc) that exist on the property. Looking for people that will live as close to off the land as possible. Think building show meets a lifestyle show centered around homesteading. We want to be with your journey from the first step and see those impressive builds from start to finish!

I am trying to cast for a documentary style TV series featuring the Dick Proenneke’s of the world today. I have found one family that has just quit their jobs in Southern California and bought a piece of land in Costa Rica, where they will build a homestead from the materials on that land. I would like to find 2 more couples/families/individuals or are in a similar stage.

Ideally, these people are looking to live off the land as much as possible. Meaning building materials, food, water, etc, all coming from their purchased land.
